Veterans Appreciation Alliance has begun the BeforeTheyGo ™ project which is an independent documentary film series for the Veterans past and present and to memorialize their service and sacrifice to defend our great nation.

The documentary film series will include, where possible:

• WW I Veteran Frank Buckles of Virginia…Last Doughboy standing…from the ‘war to end all wars’!
• WW II Veterans who often spent years on foreign soil defending Freedom
• Korean War Veterans where little recognition has been forthcoming for their service
• Vietnam War Veterans where a conflicting legacy still remains and health challenges continue to escalate
• Gulf War Veterans and in their sacrifice the nation began to Welcome Home our military
• War on Terror Veterans where multiple deployments, extreme hardships on family are now the beneficiary of a grateful nation that is welcoming our women and men and finally separating ‘the war from the warrior’
• Women of the military whose selfless dedication saved lives such as the nurses of triage that worked magic so that doctors could perform miracles
• Air capability of the Air Force, Navy, Army and Marine Corps
• Air capability by the ‘chopper crews and door gunners’ that without their selfless support in the air our KIA count would have dramatically increased
• Coast Guard, National Guard, Reserves and Chaplains who have served valiantly with lesser recognition
• USO and their volunteers and celebrities that made you feel you were ‘back in the world’
• ALL branches of service…from ALL wars…Welcome Home!

Our concept is to have an annual event entitled the Grateful Red-White-Blue National Pride Tour with professional sports as a venue for high visibility for Veteran awareness. It is our intention to work with Major League Baseball as well as youth leagues to assist the awareness campaign with high profile interactive events and most importantly the kids in youth sports that are only a few years away from make life-defining decisions as to how to serve their country.
